Production Plan
Products
For my products, I have separate file, a MS Word document at the moment, that tracks works in progress and works on hold.
The Process
The production process will cover the entire lifetime of a work. Right now, it covers up through digital publication.
(At some point in the future I’ll write a blog post by converting a rather huge table covering the process, but for now let’s summarize)
The major steps of the process:
- Draft
- Book-ready
- Release-ready
- Launch
- Post-launch
The areas of business:
- Product
- Production
- Marketing
- Publicity
And, just for your viewing pleasure, here’s a visual image of where the bulk of the work is at each point (as I see it).
